i do not condone any of the potentially problematic things that certain authors have done (because unfortunately things like this are kinda inevitable esp with japanese content) i just enjoy their stuff unless their actions directly affect their content (if so let me know!)
fiction does affect reality = to me fiction affects reality as much as you allow it to, as long as you understand the difference between right and wrong and hold your favs accountable when they do problematic things then i don't think there's anything wrong with consuming certain types of content (although for me there are some absolute no-nos like loli/shotacon and incest)
